We're proud to announce the Link Up Beer BIPOC Scholarship! It has always been the vision of the Link Up organization to place BIPOC individuals on a track to key roles within breweries, whether that be in brewing, leadership or ownership. This scholarship with Niagara College truly feels like the first milestone to fulfilling that vision, and we can't wait to follow the journey of the recipient. Last night, our partners at Bellwoods Brewery hosted the launch of their Vienna Lager, Gretel, which was brewed for International Women’s Day. They celebrated with a series of live Q&As with some phenomenal women in the food and beverage industry, including Link Up Co-Founder Tiffany Alexis Davey. It was a great night with some insightful conversations and fantastic beer. 🍻 Thank you Bellwoods Brewery for your continued commitment and support! #diversityinbeer #diversityandinclusion

Together with our Guelph.Beer pals we donated $2,841 to Link Up who will use the funds help support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) diversity in the beer industry. Thank you to everyone who made a donation on the Guelph.Beer Bus over the past few years. The funds will be used to support BIPOC individuals in obtaining certifications including Cicerone®. In addition to this donation total, BSG (Brewers Supply Group) made a $1,000 donation to the program through their ‘Rahr Gives’ initiative. Thank you to our friends at Fixed Gear Brewing Co., Sleeman Breweries Ltd., Fixed Gear Brewing Co., Royal City Brewing, and Wrinkly Bear. Diversity in the workforce is not just good for the community, it's good for the bottom line, too. Join two of our Co-Founders, Tiffany Alexis Davey and Craig Thorn, at the 2023 Ontario Craft Brewers (OCB) Conference this Thursday, October 26th at 1pm ET. They'll be discussing how BIPOC representation within the #craftbeer industry builds community that reflects the world outside the brewery, brings in new clientele and sparks creativity. They'll also share tips for attracting a diverse staff and taproom via marketing techniques and community-based initiatives. Register and learn more here: https://lnkd.in/g2s7qbyc
